About The Position

The Senior Analyst - West Coast W&D position will coordinate and monitor inbound traffic regarding transportation of auto parts into U.S. manufacturing plants (Hyundai Motor Group Related Vendors) with documentation, deliveries, and customs related operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ocean inbound operation services and customer services
  • Daily coordination with customers & inquiries
  • Follow-up on urgent team trucking
  • Monitor/update ocean inbound schedules, services, and update vendors of any document
  • Provide daily follow up to inbound accounts (tracing reports twice a day, including weekend if needed) via phone and/or e-mail
  • Monitor cargo data to confirm it is valid prior to sending notifications to customers
  • Coordinate trucking (dispatching, tracking, tracing, prevention of detention/demurrage/Chassis and other charges)
  • Coordinate warehousing, storage, additional trucking, and final delivery to customers' facility
  • Manage/control with operations, customers, and truckers to minimize unnecessary costs
  • Forwarding all appropriate documentation (Bill of Ladings/Customs documentation, Arrival Notice)
  • Provide status updates for customers
  • Ensure all charges are billed correctly, including: detention/demurrage/pre-pull/port open charges
  • Rate studies for spot shipments and inquiries
  • Regularly maintain updates in operation system (Genisys)
  • Maintain database/record keeping in the system (shipment tracing data)
  • Monitor inbound containers for timely release and provide status updates
  • Timely AR/AP process for both local and overseas agents
  • Ensure all charges are billed correctly including: A/R, A/P, Detention, Demurrage, Additional Charges, etc
  • Dispute and follow up detention/demurrage/Chassis invoices with liners, customers, vendors
  • Manage and report any accessories charge due to operation issues
  • Make sure to keep all records related to AR/AP and follow up payment status of AR/AP
  • Process AR/AP invoices and create reports for accounting department
  • Prepare GLOVIS Korea settlement reports, reconcile data weekly and monthly
  • Manage aging invoices
  • Prepare, review, and audit all data entry (rates, GL code, Freight code, etc) for month-end closing
  • Operation support as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
