About The Position

The City of Colorado Springs is ready to welcome a Senior Analyst - Transit Assets for the Public Works division. As a Senior Analyst for this team, you will manage Transit Asset Plans and Capital Asset Projects. This position will be required to provide after hours support. This is a special at-will position funded by a FTA grant received by Transit annually. We're an accredited pay equity employer! Your starting pay will be within the posted hiring range based on your years of experience and education. As a Senior Analyst for the Transit Assets team, you will: Create scopes of work and independent cost estimates Management and oversight of vendor contracts Transit asset inventory and accountability, recording fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions and depreciation, and capital planning Manage the Transit Asset Management and Transit ADA Transition Plans Asset data management and reporting Transit Capital Asset project coordination and oversight Manage work quality, training, instruction, and scheduling of personnel within the Asset Group Track and manage Information Technology requests Review and update policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Learn more about this job by reviewing the class specification on the City of Colorado Springs Class Specifications page

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study.
  • Five years of full-time, professional experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of: Asset management, Capital Project Management, Contracting process, Risk Management, Budget implementation and management, Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations
  • Ability to: Oversee, coordinate, and implement assigned projects, Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, Establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Facilities Capital Project Management experience
  • Experience with contract compliance and quality assurance
  • Experience creating and writing statements/scopes of work and project cost estimating

Responsibilities

  • Create scopes of work and independent cost estimates
  • Management and oversight of vendor contracts
