About The Position

The Senior Analyst, U.S. Import Trade Compliance, executes and monitors day-to-day customs compliance activities to ensure Walmart’s direct import shipments meet all U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agency (PGA) regulatory requirements. This role owns entry issue resolution end-to-end, driving timely clearance, data accuracy, and compliance through coordination with brokers, carriers, and internal partners. The U.S. Import Trade Compliance team is responsible for ensuring all direct imports comply with US Customs laws and regulatory requirements while enabling efficient cargo movement. The team partners closely with customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to manage entry operations, enforce compliance standards, and support a scalable, controlled import program. This is a temporary position and will be fully onsite in Bentonville, AR.

Responsibilities

  • Execute compliance operations by reviewing entry documentation and ensuring filings meet U.S. Customs “reasonable care” standards
  • Own issue resolution end-to-end by taking accountability for assigned issue types and broker relationships, investigating and resolving errors, document gaps, and clearance delays, coordinating across multiple stakeholders to remove barriers to cargo release, and driving issues through full resolution (not just escalation)
  • Manage customs broker performance by enforcing Broker Business Rules and holding providers accountable for compliance, quality, and timeliness
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with CBP and applicable PGA requirements across import categories
  • Drive continuous improvement by performing root cause analysis, identifying systemic breakdowns, and implementing process and data quality improvements
