About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Security and Disbursement, is responsible for ensuring that all due diligence and verifications are completed prior to the disbursement of loans. He or she works in close collaboration with the underwriter and the business development lead to ensure that disbursements respect the Bank’s procedures and that they are completed in the most efficient manner possible to ensure excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the financial sector.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong business acumen and client focus mindset.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills to meet critical deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Bilingualism (English and French )

Responsibilities

  • Approve, decline or recommend disbursement within established parameters.
  • Review and/or follow up on letters of offers based on the specific process (i.e., instruction, disbursement, amendment) so as to ensure that the forms/information are accurate and complete and that requirements and signatures are obtained.
  • Process disbursement package by ensuring thorough due diligence and sound account management practices; update project costs where applicable.
  • In accordance with the disbursement strategy, promptly disburse loans that have been approved and authorized via the credit adjudication process.
  • Update authorizations, project costs and disbursement strategies to ensure that overall risk is evaluated correctly.
  • Participate in resolving compliance or material changes that arise during the disbursement process.
  • Maintain relationships with business centre personnel and colleagues to foster teamwork, the pursuit of common objectives and the consistent application of policies.
  • Provide excellent customer experience in the resolution of basic client issues and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
  • Keep abreast of changes to policies, procedures and detailed processes and trends in credit and regulatory issues that may have an impact on BDC.
