About The Position

The primary objective of the Senior Analyst is to independently lead end-to-end analytical and research initiatives, from framing complex or ambiguous problems through delivering executive-ready insights and recommendations. The Senior Analyst applies an inquisitive mindset, advanced analytical methods, influences decision making at senior levels, and mentors others to ensure high standards of rigor, consistency, and impact across district analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Education, Social Sciences, Engineering, or related STEM fields
  • Experience in at least 3 of the following areas: Research, Education, Public Health, Social Policy, Program Evaluation.
  • Technical expertise: Business Intelligence, Reporting, Dashboarding / Visualizations, Data Science, Analytics, Programming.
  • Analysis and modeling: Data Analysis, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Data Modeling

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Information Technology, Business, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Education, Social Sciences, Engineering, or related STEM fields preferred
  • Experience with statistical software and familiarity with SQL and other programming a plus
  • Experience in creating ad-hoc data-based reports for decision making, including KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver complex, high impact analytical and research workstreams, serving as the primary analytical point of contact for assigned focus areas and owning end-to-end execution from problem framing through delivery. Ensure timely delivery of scheduled and priority ad-hoc work
  • Independently frame ambiguous or complex problems by defining research questions, analytic approaches, success criteria, and hypotheses, and by guiding execution from data validation through synthesis and stakeholder presentation
  • Extract and evaluate large, complex datasets, ensuring data quality, integrity, and appropriate use. Develop metrics and performance indicators that support district wide decision making
  • Prepare and present analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders, translating complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives and visualizations.
  • Facilitate data informed meetings and discussions, guiding stakeholders through interpretation of findings, surfacing implications and trade offs, and supporting alignment on decisions and next steps
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and credibility of analyses and data products, adhering to data governance, privacy, and quality standards.
  • Serve as a trusted analytical advisor and subject matter expert, partnering across departments to address complex, cross functional challenges and evaluate strategic options.
  • Lead forward looking analysis and forecasting that supports long term district planning
  • Build analytical capacity across the district, including supporting analysts, establishing shared analytical standards, and developing training and decision support tools to strengthen data literacy and effective data use
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for identified focus area(s) and/or support additional work, as assigned
