About The Position

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Senior Analyst, Procurement to join its Laundry & Dish categories in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The role works onsite in the office five days a week and supports procurement activities to identify and evaluate suppliers against standards for price, quality, timing, and supply reliability. The position also evaluates opportunities to reduce costs and ensures supplier products meet specifications and quality standards. The Senior Analyst manages launch, cost, and quality projects throughout product life cycles, coordinating suppliers and internal teams to achieve unit-cost and quality targets while maintaining program timing. The role involves supplier readiness, capital and tooling oversight, manufacturing plant coordination as needed, and continuous improvement of product management processes and systems. Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
At least 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or engineering.

Responsibilities

Manage established launch plans daily for assigned commodities, components, and projects.
Participate in project, supplier, and cross-functional meetings.
Resolve launch-readiness issues and ensure cost, schedule, and quality objectives are achieved.
Implement cost and quality changes to existing models to achieve performance and cost objectives.
Balance activities across multiple projects to meet priorities and key objectives.
Validate and issue capital and expense expenditures for tooling and equipment.
Travel to suppliers for in-person reviews and readiness discussions.
Visit manufacturing plants as needed to work with the project team.
Develop and lead continuous improvement activities for key product management processes and systems.
Manage launch, cost, and quality projects throughout product life cycles to achieve unit-cost and quality targets and maintain program timing for assigned commodities.
Develop detailed action plans for suppliers to meet project deliverables.
Coordinate internal deliverables to suppliers, including demand planning, designs, quality, and cost targets.
Track and evaluate supplier activities against launch plans.
Monitor supplier quality deliverables.
Validate, initiate, and track supplier capital and tooling.
Lead and coordinate day-to-day activities during new-model transitions for suppliers and internal cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing.
Monitor and track key performance indicators for assigned commodities.
