The company operates multiple manufacturing campuses across the U.S. and Canada. The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Accounting role supports financial planning, reporting, accounting, and operational analysis for the Salt Lake City site and Home Care business. This position involves close collaboration with plant leadership and functional teams, focusing on forecasting, budgeting, month-end close, capital spending, and financial reporting. The role combines financial planning and analysis with general accounting oversight to ensure accurate financial results, strong internal controls, and valuable business insights.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in Finance or Business.
  • Experience in computerized accounting systems.
  • Experience with fixed assets, capital project accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Basic understanding of GAAP.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and come to logical and supportable conclusions.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close, forecast, and budget calendars for the Homecare Division, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Consolidate monthly financial results for Canada and Salt Lake City operations, including operating profit roll forwards.
  • Lead quarterly forecast updates and annual budgets for department cost centers, warehousing, transportation/logistics, labor, and benefits, including support for management presentations.
  • Support the capital expenditure process for Home Care, including ROI analysis, capital spend tracking, project reconciliations, capitalization, retirements, and WBS element setup.
  • Partner with Engineering and operations teams to maintain accurate CER ROI analysis and post-implementation reviews.
  • Oversee cost center reporting and partner with department leaders to manage spending against budget.
  • Ensure timely and accurate accounts payable processing, including invoice parking/posting, release of blocked invoices, and review of open purchase orders.
  • Complete quarterly reporting requirements, including fixed asset roll forwards, quarterly reporting packages, and Gross Profit in Inventory reporting for intercompany activity.
  • Maintain and update PIRs for JemPak.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly GAAP adjustment entries.
  • Oversee monthly sales and use tax reconciliations and quarterly tax payments.
  • Provide monthly warehouse, freight, and logistics reporting and analysis, while partnering with Transportation on cost savings initiatives.
  • Support quarterly and annual audit requirements for the Home Care business.
  • Develop financial models, analyze business performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
