About The Position

This Senior Analyst position is a part of the Data Management team responsible primarily for maintaining item related master data in various systems (SAP, SPOMS, SPARCS, and SPRx) supporting Mail and Specialty pharmacy operations. The Senior Analyst collaborates closely with internal business partners including Brand/Generic Contracting, Pharmacy Operations, and Pharmacy Procurement to validate and execute master data add/change requests. In addition, the Senior Analyst is responsible for executing daily, weekly and monthly reports utilized to ensure purchase price accuracy, validate strategic system data, and support data cleansing routines. Other responsibilities include supporting capital projects and system enhancement efforts (e.g. data setup, test scenario documentation/execution, data migration/implementation) as well as performing basic ad hoc data analyses. The individual in this position serves as a mentor to the team's Analysts and Associates and is the team members' first point of contact regarding data validation rules and procedural questions. The Senior Analyst also acts as the department documentation steward. Responsibilities include creating/maintaining work instruction and process flow documentation as well as facilitating related discussions.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (e.g. ability to use functions to write formulas, ability to write macros, etc.).
  • Detail oriented, task driven, and have strong communication and organizational skills.
  • College degree or demonstrated work experience in line with requisite job responsibilities is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Sharepoint is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of data querying tools such as MS Access is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of VBA is preferred.
  • A basic understanding of the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) business and pricing models is preferred.
