About The Position

Digital is a key part of our present and our future. CBC/Radio-Canada’s strategy is focused on becoming the first organization to provide a digital platform that delivers unique content and experiences for our audiences, by telling stories that reflect who they are. This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines. The Senior Analyst acts as a key partner to stakeholders, building trust and supporting their audience and data-analysis needs in order to drive more data-informed decisions. This role involves not only technical and analytical expertise, but also relationship management and tactical support skills, with the aim of creating a direct impact on the performance of various initiatives.

Requirements

  • Three or more years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Graduate degree in a relevant field (business intelligence, economics, IT, e-commerce, etc.).
  • Proficiency with performance measurement and analysis tools (Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics an asset).
  • Proficient knowledge of programming languages associated with data analysis, ideally SQL or Python.
  • Experience working in a cloud environment; knowledge of Databricks an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Looker Studio, specifically in designing, visualizing and presenting data through intuitive dashboards tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Strong proficiency with data management platforms (DMP/CDP) and their APIs; knowledge of BlueConic an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of relationship marketing and engagement tools (newsletters and push notifications).
  • Knowledge of advertising platforms (Google Ad Manager, Meta, etc.).
  • Strong familiarity with the marketing industry and Canadian media.
  • Strong ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with a variety of partners.
  • Keen interest in digital and emerging technologies.
  • Familiarity with CBC/Radio-Canada platforms and content an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis and make relevant audience recommendations to assist stakeholders in meeting their tactical activation needs.
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards (Power BI, Looker Studio, Databricks) to enable self-service access to data, KPIs and analytical insights.
  • Produce ad performance reports and analyses based on ad server and platform data to help marketing teams optimize campaigns and drive decision-making.
  • Create and maintain audiences in the data management platform (CDP) and data clean rooms.
  • Work with marketing, product and revenue teams to use and optimize audience data.
  • Assist with marketing planning based on audience insights.
  • Contribute to the design and testing of innovative AI-driven solutions to enhance customization, automation and audience activation.
  • Work with the Big Data team on data ingest and standardization initiatives and with the development teams on data gathering.
  • Present your analysis and recommendations to a varied audience that may include product managers, strategists, marketing/communications managers and sales reps.
  • Build and maintain long-term trust with stakeholders by being constantly attentive to their needs and providing them with tailored solutions.
  • Produce ad hoc documentation to support teams (reports, presentations, Confluence documentation, etc.).
  • Monitor changes in the data source structure that could impact our data gathering.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to privacy laws and policies.
