We are looking for a strategic, commercially driven Senior Allocator to join our Retail Planning team. This role owns the end-to-end allocation strategy across the SKIMS retail fleet, from seasonal distribution planning through in-season inventory management, replenishment execution, and exit. The ideal candidate brings deep allocation expertise, strong cross-functional influence, and the judgment to make inventory decisions that protect sales, margin, and the customer experience at every door. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on how SKIMS manages inventory as our retail business scales.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in retail allocation, replenishment, or merchandise planning; fashion or apparel industry required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, Finance, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.
  • Proven ability to develop and own allocation strategy across a multi-door retail fleet, including store clustering, size curve development, and replenishment program management.
  • Deep understanding of retail math, including sell-through, weeks-of-supply, stock-to-sales ratios, IMU, and inventory productivity metrics; ability to translate analysis into clear financial impact.
  • Experience with in-season inventory management, consolidations, and exit strategy execution in a vertical retail environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and logical formulas; comfort working with large, complex data sets.
  • Experience with planning or business intelligence tools such as Toolio, Looker, NetSuite, or similar platforms required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings, recommendations, and inventory strategies to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience supporting or leading new store opening inventory builds is strongly preferred.
  • Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior team members is a plus.
  • A strategic inventory thinker who operates with both precision and a commercial lens, connecting allocation decisions to sales, margin, and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end allocation strategy for the SKIMS retail fleet, translating seasonal buy plans and distribution strategies into store-level execution across initial sends, replenishment, size balancing, and end-of-life management.
  • Develop and maintain store clustering and attribute frameworks that drive differentiated assortment strategies, optimize inventory productivity, and improve gross margin by door.
  • Lead size curve analysis across the fleet; develop and refine size curves by store cluster, category, and season to improve allocation accuracy and reduce size imbalances.
  • Manage inventory levels by door based on capacity, store attributes, seasonality, and selling curves; proactively identify and act on stock liabilities and sales opportunities across the fleet before they impact financial performance.
  • Lead in-season inventory management, including replenishment execution, inter-store transfer recommendations, consolidations, and markdown timing proposals; present findings and recommendations to Planning leadership.
  • Own exit strategy development for seasonal and aging inventory by door; partner with Planning and Merchandising to align on clearance approach, timing, and consolidation plans that protect margin.
  • Lead new store opening inventory strategy, including assortment builds calibrated to door capacity, store profile, and cluster; coordinate with Logistics, Retail Operations, and the DC to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Analyze store sales, weeks-of-supply, sell-through, and stock-to-sales ratios on a weekly basis; synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations and present performance recaps to senior leadership.
  • Monitor warehouse and in-transit inventory by door; proactively flag receiving or shipping issues and drive resolution with cross-functional partners to protect the allocation plan and store readiness.
  • Build, own, and publish best-seller, hindsight, and allocation performance reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis; communicate insights and recommended actions to cross-functional partners with clarity and confidence.
  • Serve as the primary allocation point of contact with store field teams and Retail Operations; maintain open lines of communication, gather on-the-ground intelligence, and incorporate store-level insights into allocation decision-making.
  • Provide mentorship and day-to-day guidance to the Allocator; support their development by sharing best practices, reviewing their work, and building their analytical and strategic capabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of allocation tools, reporting infrastructure, and replenishment processes; identify inefficiencies and recommend scalable solutions as the retail fleet grows.
