About The Position

The ideal Allocator is analytical, motivated, and results-oriented. This role supports inventory deployment and allocation activities across a variety of tools and systems, including Item Intent, Looker, Tableau, Assortment Builder, Blue Yonder Allocation, and RMS. This role is offered as hybrid in Seattle, WA. Candidates must be available to work in office at the Nordstrom corporate headquarters a minimum of 4 days/week to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support Blue Yonder Allocation processes across both Full Price and Rack businesses.
  • Execute purchase orders and reallocations in Blue Yonder Allocation to support merchant strategies and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute allocation strategies that ensure efficient and accurate distribution of inventory across the store fleet.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize inventory placement and improve location performance.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert within the Inventory Deployment suite.
  • Analyze inventory and business performance data, providing clear recommendations and updates to cross-functional partners.
  • Build strong partnerships across Merchandising, Planning, and Inventory teams to support business goals.
  • Develop an understanding of customer needs and shopping behaviors to inform allocation decisions.
  • Adapt communication style and level of detail to effectively engage a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and agility in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve accuracy, and reduce waste.
