About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Senior Air Controller for a part-time, on-call opportunity supporting its Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA). The role supports realistic, dynamic training for warfighter participants by coordinating simulation activity and scenario responses with other component control cells. The controller uses simulation and white cell tools, troubleshooting, and feedback to help maintain a consistent, synchronized air picture in the Korea Theater of Operations for USFK, combined staff, USINDOPACOM, and component training audiences. The Senior Air Controller provides design, control, and observations to Air Force and component controllers, contributes participant performance feedback through established 7AF mechanisms or at the request of Commander 7AF, and works with the Pacific Air Simulation Center to improve simulation realism and address known issues. The role also supports U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa theater exercises as requested by Commander USAFE. The position is remote, based in Florida, and requires travel 25% of the time.

  • JFACC experience and expertise in command and control of U.S. and coalition air operations.
  • Recent working knowledge, within one year, of USINDOPACOM war plans.
  • Recent experience, within two years, with real-time operational control of a large-scale, OPLAN-size computer-assisted event.
  • Bachelor's degree and 18 years of experience, or relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree.
