SAP NS2 Senior AI Consultant Specialist
About The Position
SAP National Security Services Inc. (SAP NS2), an independent U.S. subsidiary of SAP, provides SAP solutions with specialized security and support for U.S. national security and critical infrastructure customers. This role requires access to customer data. Candidates must be U.S. citizens; visa sponsorship is not available. Internal applicants need their manager’s approval to transfer. The Senior AI Consultant Specialist independently leads teams and manages customer relationships while delivering complex AI and machine learning initiatives. The role addresses critical customer challenges, improves operations at scale, communicates with technical and business stakeholders, and designs and implements advanced machine learning and agentic AI solutions. It also applies AI ethics and governance principles and provides technical leadership to ensure system performance, security, and scalability. The role evaluates Business AI trends and best practices, develops expertise in internal AI and Business Technology Platform (BTP) systems, and identifies strategic opportunities to integrate AI and data analytics. In collaboration with engineering teams and customer stakeholders, the specialist leads requirements planning and translates complex business problems into effective technical solutions. The position includes mentoring others and helping shape AI strategy and capabilities based on customer needs. Travel is up to 75%.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience delivering technical solutions and leading technical teams across design, architecture, and implementation.
- Proven experience developing, deploying, and optimizing machine learning, AI, or data science solutions in production environments.
- Advanced proficiency with machine learning and AI tools, frameworks, and programming languages, such as Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch, and related cloud or MLOps technologies.
- Demonstrated experience applying recent AI research, generative AI, LLM, and agentic AI capabilities to complex real-world problems and measurable business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI, security, governance, and ethical considerations for enterprise AI solutions.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.
- Must be a U.S. citizen; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 75%.
