About The Position

As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will join a new Digital Transformation group within Honeywell Aerospace Electronic Solutions. You will help advance the adoption of modern digital engineering methods across the organization, using Requirements Based Engineering (RBE) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to support the specification development, design, modeling, and integration of aircraft systems. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to define and mature digital transformation standards, processes, methods, and best practices. In partnership with individual Centers of Excellence (CoEs), you will help engineering teams adopt and consistently apply these standards and tools, address adoption challenges, and integrate RBE, MBSE, and digital engineering into product development processes. This hands-on technical role focuses on enabling rapid, traceable, and scalable system development through digital tools. You will collaborate with system leads and hardware and test teams to capture system architecture, decompose requirements, and validate system behavior through modeling. You will also help shape how digital engineering practices are applied and scaled across Electronic Solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in systems engineering and MBSE roles.
  • Hands-on experience with CAMEO Systems Modeler and a strong understanding of SysML.
  • Working knowledge of requirements tools such as DOORS NG and Jira.
  • Must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or an individual with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience modeling complex system architectures and interfaces.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes, the V-model, and lifecycle traceability.
  • Understanding of Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) principles.
  • Familiarity with ARP4754, ARP4761, MIL-STD-881, MIL-STD-882, and system safety frameworks.
  • Exposure to airworthiness certification or flight test support.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to define, document, and mature digital transformation standards, processes, methods, and best practices for RBE, MBSE, and related digital engineering disciplines.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence to help engineering teams adopt and consistently apply digital transformation processes, standards, and tools in product development environments.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance in SysML, CAMEO, requirements management, system modeling, architecture development, requirements decomposition, and traceability.
  • Help engineering teams translate common digital engineering standards into practical approaches suitable for their programs.
  • Support the integration of digital engineering practices into existing development lifecycles, including requirements, architecture, design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Identify adoption challenges and work with stakeholders to develop scalable solutions.
  • Promote effective use and integration of tools such as CAMEO, DOORS NG, Jira, and related engineering platforms to improve information flow, requirements traceability, model consistency, and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, test, safety, and other engineering disciplines to establish and implement common digital engineering approaches across products and development teams.
  • Evaluate engineering workflows, identify opportunities for greater consistency, traceability, automation, and reuse, and evolve digital transformation practices based on lessons learned.

Benefits

  • Employer-subsidized medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, and health savings accounts.
  • Employee assistance program and educational assistance.
