About The Position

The Benefit Payment Operations team at RBC has an opportunity for a Senior Administrator. This role reports to the Director and acts as a subject matter expert to Benefit Payment Administrators and other business units. The Senior Administrator is responsible for processing complex transactions, providing technical expertise, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, projects, and training. This position offers the opportunity to influence outcomes and contribute to the organization's evolution.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience (preferably in Pensions/ Benefit Payment System and Operations)
  • Strong collaboration, organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Superior communication skills – written and oral
  • Client focus and ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Handle or support complex transactions or files including but not limited to the following: Wire payments, lump sum payments, stop payments, reissues, recalls, garnishments, reversals, exemption requests, overpayment letters, journals
  • Year to date adjustments and year end activities
  • Reconciliation and remittance of funds. Support the clearing of outstanding breaks.
  • Provide direction to BenPay Operations team as required on complex matters.
  • Lead or assist with continuous improvement, projects and testing as required.
  • Lead or assist with issue investigation and resolution.
  • Lead or support training, cross training and documentation.
