Working alongside Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and Business stakeholders, you'll help build and maintain a modern analytics platform by administering Power BI and Microsoft Fabric environments, implementing governance and security standards, managing enterprise capacities, supporting CI/CD, and ensuring the reliability and performance of mission-critical reporting solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Analytics, and Reporting platforms with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise-scale Power BI environments, including tenant administration, workspace governance, report deployment, gateway management, and security administration.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting and administering Microsoft Fabric workloads, including OneLake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, Data Factory, and Fabric Capacity Management.
  • Experience managing Power BI Premium and Microsoft Fabric Capacities, including capacity planning, performance optimization, workload management, and resolution of throttling issues.
  • Strong experience implementing Power BI security controls, including Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace permissions, external sharing, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) integration.
  • Hands-on experience administering On-Premises Data Gateways, including installation, upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Extensive experience with SQL Server Administration, including database maintenance, security administration, backup and recovery, replication, log shipping, and high-availability solutions.
  • Experience supporting Production, Pre-Production, Test, and Development environments, including deployments, refreshes, release management, and operational support.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git integration, PowerShell automation, and analytics platform monitoring.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and support business-critical reporting and analytics solutions in a large enterprise environment.
  • Experience collaborating with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and governed analytics platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience documenting technical standards, operational procedures, governance policies, and platform administration best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support the enterprise Microsoft Power BI environment, including tenant administration, workspace governance, report deployment, security administration, and platform configuration.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Fabric workloads, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Real-Time Analytics, and Fabric Capacity Management.
  • Manage and optimize Power BI Premium and Microsoft Fabric capacities by monitoring utilization, workload performance, capacity planning, scaling, and resolving throttling issues.
  • Implement and maintain enterprise governance standards, including workspace lifecycle management, naming standards, content certification, deployment pipelines, and tenant settings.
  • Administer Power BI security, including Row-Level Security (RLS), Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) integration, workspace permissions, external sharing, and data access governance.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain On-Premises Data Gateways while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Support SQL Server environments, including database administration, backup and recovery, security, replication, log shipping, performance tuning, and high-availability solutions.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git integration, deployment pipelines, and PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency and platform reliability.
  • Monitor platform health, proactively identify performance issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve incidents impacting reporting and analytics services.
  • Support Production, Pre-Production, Test, and Development environments through release management, deployments, environment refreshes, and operational support.
  • Partner with Information Security to implement governance, compliance, auditing, data protection, and secure access controls across the analytics platform.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to support enterprise data models, semantic models, Fabric workloads, and reporting solutions.
  • Develop automation solutions using PowerShell and Microsoft platform APIs to reduce manual administration and improve operational efficiency.
  • Implement platform monitoring, alerting, capacity reporting, usage analytics, and operational dashboards to ensure service reliability.
  • Document platform standards, operational procedures, governance policies, and administration best practices.
  • Serve as a senior platform administrator by troubleshooting complex technical issues, mentoring team members, reviewing platform configurations, and promoting operational excellence across the organization.
