About The Position

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrative Specialist located in Midland, MI! In this role, you will serve as a trusted partner to senior HR leadership, enabling efficient and effective execution of business priorities through exceptional administrative support, proactive planning, and management of day-to-day executive operations. You will anticipate needs, identify potential issues before they arise, and independently drive coordination and follow-through to maximize leadership effectiveness. Operating with a high degree of discretion and professionalism, you will manage sensitive information and complex stakeholder interactions while helping leaders remain focused on strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional working experience.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

  • 8+ years of professional working experience.
  • Experience supporting Vice President, Executive Leadership Team, or equivalent senior leaders.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the role, work group, and computer applications to work independently, appropriately prioritize work and competing demands and provide professional administrative support to senior leaders and their teams.
  • Screen and prioritize requests, communications, and competing demands on executive time.
  • Manage complex calendars, priorities and scheduling across multiple time zones.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings and events, book conference rooms, order food/drink, escort and manage visitor/guests.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively address issues before they impact leadership effectiveness.
  • Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and quickly-changing environment.
  • Occasionally assist with meeting materials, presentations, agendas and follow up actions.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of department or group events or special projects.
  • Take notes at meetings and compress relevant information into a brief summary.
  • Create open channels of communication to help the department understand and utilize information more effectively.
  • Maintain organizational documents, records, distribution lists, and leadership materials.
  • Ensure document quality, version control, and confidentiality standards.
  • Support onboarding, organizational updates, and administrative aspects of team operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, governance requirements, and administrative procedures.
