About The Position

This Senior Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive, high trust support to the Chief Technology, Data & Operations Execution Management and Performance Officer (COO), enabling enterprise execution, governance discipline, and leadership effectiveness across a complex, fast paced organization. The role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, and autonomy, supporting both professional and related personal commitments, including extensive travel, external board service, conferences, and speaking engagements. The Administrative Assistant operates as a trusted proxy for the COO, anticipating needs, managing competing priorities, and ensuring seamless coordination across internal and external stakeholders. Truist will not sponsor an applicant for work visa status or employment authorization, nor will we offer any immigration-related support for this position. This position is office-centric 5 days a week in one of the following location: Charlotte NC.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent education and related training
  • Seven years of progressively more complex clerical experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including strong knowledge of spelling and grammar), organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and math skills
  • Exhibited ability to work independently
  • Ability to deal with complex situations which require sound judgment
  • Ability to operate office equipment (e.g. copier, fax)
  • Ability to endure light physical labor
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience supporting C‑suite or senior enterprise executives, including management of complex calendars, high‑volume travel, and competing professional and personal commitments.
  • Experience coordinating logistics for external board service, conferences, and executive speaking engagements.
  • Proven ability to operate with discretion, independence, and sound judgment in handling sensitive business and personal matters.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and enterprise expense and travel platforms (e.g., Concur, Ariba, Teams).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare (key) correspondence, reports and forms.
  • Compose correspondence as directed. Within guidelines, may answer correspondence on own initiative.
  • Execute routine projects within general guidelines and instruction.
  • May provide workflow and problem-solving guidance to other administrative assistant levels.
  • Establish and maintain files and records.
  • Screen calls/voicemails and handle or route to appropriate people.
  • Arrange and handle complex, high‑volume details related to domestic and international travel, expense reporting, meetings, and appointments, including coordination of business and related personal travel, external board meetings, conferences, and speaking engagements.
  • Deal discreetly with highly sensitive and confidential business and personal information, always exercising sound judgment and strict confidentiality.
  • Can make recommendations to management based on findings.
  • Interact with senior internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the COO, including board members, partners, and event organizers, to answer questions, resolve issues, and ensure successful outcomes within scope of authority.
