About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist for its Federal Strategic Cyber program. This role is based in Quantico, Virginia. The specialist will be responsible for coordinating the procurement of hardware, software, and services to support the program's equipment acquisition mission. This includes identifying procurement needs, conducting market research, negotiating contracts, preparing requisitions and purchase orders, and managing the end-to-end procure-to-pay process. The role also involves tracking key metrics, developing procurement strategies, and collaborating with various internal teams to ensure compliance and budget alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university with 8 years of relevant experience, OR a Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with 6 years of experience, OR Ph.D. in a related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • An additional 4 years may be considered in lieu of the bachelors degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in purchasing, procurement, and/or acquisition.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate purchases of hardware, software, and services in support of the equipment procurement mission.
  • Identify the procurement needs of the program.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and compare offers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Develop procurement strategies and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
  • Manage end-to-end procure-to-pay for CAP and ODC items: sourcing, RFQs, evaluation, negotiation, PO issuance, and receipt/acceptance coordination.
  • Coordinate with engineering, contracts, finance, and program leads to ensure technical/contract compliance and budget alignment.
