AECOM is seeking a Senior Acoustician to join their Acoustic team. This is a remote, part-time role (20 hours per week) that will be aligned with their Denver, CO office. The position involves utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop technical solutions for complex problems. Responsibilities include interpreting and recording data, conducting analyses, comparing findings to relevant studies and regulations, and ensuring compliance. The role requires minimal direction and allows considerable latitude in determining technical objectives. The Senior Acoustician will be responsible for advanced duties in their specialized functional area, conducting research and investigation work, planning and organizing project studies, and assisting in the resolution of conflicting technical information. They will perform complex assignments often requiring unique solutions and may oversee junior staff. Technical responsibilities include managing and delivering noise analysis tasks for major transportation, construction, energy, and development projects across the U.S., performing and supervising predictive analyses using spreadsheet-based tools and commercial software, and performing and supervising acoustical measurements, noise surveys, and investigations. Additionally, they will research and review regulatory criteria at local, state, and national levels.
