The Senior Accounting Coordinator is responsible for checking figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. This role involves organizing, securing, and maintaining all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures. The coordinator will record, store, and/or analyze information using property software, maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data, and complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified. Additionally, they will prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables, access computerized financial information to answer general questions and those related to specific accounts, and generate finance/accounting reports from the computer system as needed. The role also includes classifying, recording, and summarizing numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records using journals, ledgers, and/or computers, and coding documents according to company policies and procedures. The position requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and ensuring the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Communication skills are essential, including speaking with others using clear and professional language and preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and completely. The role also involves performing physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance, and developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting team goals, and responding appropriately to employee concerns. Other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors may also be part of the responsibilities.
