The Senior Accounting Analyst will support Jump's global operations by maintaining the integrity of the general ledger across a multitude of legal entities. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing accounting processes for global centralized accounting functions (compensation, equity, consolidations, daily cash reconciliations), ensuring the completeness and accuracy of Jump's legal entity books and records, and ensuring processes support existing business and future growth. The role involves responsibility for the books and records of several Jump subsidiaries, including period-end financial reporting, accounting for various components of the Firm's spend, and analyzing/reporting on this spend. The position requires continuous improvement of processes and efficiency while maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience with a track record of owning the general ledger, reconciling complex accounts, and improving close processes in a fast-paced, multi-entity organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or other accounting software.
  • Comfort adopting new technology and automation tools.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to translate financial information and flag issues early.
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and dependable.
  • Able to juggle competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team, especially through critical close periods.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the month-end close process, managing central processes across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and post activity and own critical reconciliations across systems and data to ensure GAAP-compliant financial records with strong controls.
  • Manage the automated daily cash activity process across all entities, investigating breaks, posting resolutions, and identifying automation opportunities.
  • Analyze monthly variances to explain financial movements, surfacing trends and anomalies.
  • Support global intercompany and consolidations processes, organizing cross-entity activity in a complex, multinational structure.
  • Tackle ad hoc analyses and open-ended questions, continuously looking for ways to streamline and strengthen processes.
  • Partner with external auditors and tax teams, building supporting schedules and documenting accounting support.
  • Contribute to finance automation and AI initiatives, applying new tools to reconciliations, reporting, and close processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
