About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting a fast-growing organization. In this role, you’ll serve as a subject matter expert on complex accounting areas, including estimates, regulatory matters, sales tax administration, revenue recognition, and consolidation. You’ll partner across teams, solve challenging accounting questions, and help ensure financial accuracy as the business scales. Requirements

  • Able to work with a wide range of functions and people, proficient in explaining accounting concepts in non-accounting language.
  • Broadly experienced accountant with demonstrated knowledge of estimates, taxes/regulatory issues, revenue recognition, and consolidation.
  • Proven history of guiding and mentoring others.
  • Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.
  • Willing to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines associated with a rapidly growing company.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in consumer products or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and systems view of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Expert-level skills with Microsoft Excel required, experience with Oracle EBS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts and perform fluctuation analyses.
  • Perform ad hoc research and analysis of information from the ERP system and research of complex accounting principles and positions.
  • Interface with tax partners (vendors & agencies) to administer sales tax payment and audit compliance.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in policies and procedures and oversee the scoping and implementation of changes.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to finance and business stakeholders as well as other accountants.
  • Support financial and regulatory audits by gathering and preparation of information and supporting schedules.
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly financial statement packages and financial statement reports for various audiences.
