Business Title: Senior Accountant Location: Irvine, CA Work Arrangement: Hybrid Employment Type: Full-Time Overview We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a strong analytical professional with a solid foundation in financial accounting and a collaborative mindset. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, and system-related initiatives , while partnering with cross-functional and global teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and close processes
  • Experience supporting financial audits
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Sage 100 preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams , including U.S. stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with system implementations or process improvements
  • Exposure to User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Familiarity with Zuora or subscription-based billing platforms
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition principles

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Record and post journal entries within the ERP system (Sage 100)
  • Support month-end and year-end close , ensuring timelines and reporting requirements are met
  • Perform financial analysis , including investigation of variances and discrepancies
  • Assist with internal and external audits , including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation
  • Execute UAT for Zuora testing using predefined scripts to validate billing and financial data accuracy
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based and cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of processes, reconciliations, and testing activities
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
