As a Senior Accountant at GEMCORE, you will be able to have an impact on FP&A, general accounting and corporate finance, express and implement your ideas, contribute daily to the success of the organization, and build lasting relationships. We are searching for a Sr. Accountant with strong business acumen and experience that does not shy away from a challenging environment. Hybrid remote/in-office role. The office is located in Hudson, OH. Schedule is 8:15 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Excellent written, verbal, technology and leadership skills.
  • Familiar with a variety of accounting and cost accounting principles, practices and concepts.
  • 4-6 years of general accounting experience including financial analysis.
  • Ability to multi-task, interact with others, and possess above average time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Microsoft D365 a plus.
  • Master’s in Finance or MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Record financial information to the general ledger in compliance with established standards, policies, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as applicable.
  • Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and analyses of revenue and expense accounts.
  • Prepares internal and external financial statements.
  • Assists with internal management reporting and external audit support.
  • Designs, implements, and executes efficient internal control procedures.
  • Compiles data on financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenditures and forecast budgets.
  • Reviewing and analyzing sales and use tax laws in all 50 US states, and Washington DC.
