About The Position

We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to own the accounting function across our group of companies. Reporting directly to the President, you’ll be the senior accounting voice in the building — owning reconciliations, the semi-monthly payment cycle, cash receipts, the monthly close, and serving as the escalation point for our AP and AR teams. This is a hands-on senior role. A significant portion of your week is reconciliation work, running payments, and supporting the AP team on escalations. You’ll also own the close and partner with leadership on the bigger picture. This role is in the weeds and at the table — we don’t want anyone surprised by that on day one.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience with strong reconciliation and month-end close ownership
  • Deep AP fluency— enough to mentor a team and resolve complex vendor situations
  • Solid AR fluency— enough to be a useful escalation point on customer disputes, aging, and cash application issues
  • Hands-on payment processing experience(checks, ACH, wires)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • ERP experience required
  • Comfortable in a small, accountable environment doing transactional work alongside senior responsibilities
  • Confident communicating accounting concepts to non-accountants, especially ownership

Nice To Haves

  • CPA a plus
  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile vendor statements, credit cards, and bank accounts on a consistent cadence
  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts as part of monthly close
  • Investigate variances and resolve them with audit-ready documentation
  • Own the semi-monthly payment cycle across multiple entities — checks, ACH, and wires
  • Prepare payment batches for VP approval and release once approved
  • Manage payment timing to support cash flow and vendor relationships
  • Serve as the escalation point for our AP Staff Accountants, who own bill entry and routine discrepancy resolution
  • Troubleshoot complex vendor disputes, coding questions, and NetSuite workflow issues
  • Mentor the AP team on best practices and process consistency
  • Process daily check deposits across multiple entities
  • Serve as the escalation point for our AR Manager on complex customer disputes, write-offs, and unusual situations
  • Support cash application and reconciliation between AR records and bank deposits
  • Run the close calendar across multiple entities and hit deadlines consistently
  • Maintain intercompany accounting discipline
  • Support sales tax filings and coordinate with our external CPA
  • Identify recurring discrepancies and propose workflow improvements
  • Contribute to ongoing AI-enabled automation efforts as we modernize our processes
