About The Position

Schmidt Roofing is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Burnsville team. This role works closely with the Controller and CFO, partnering with Operations, Production, and Sales to ensure accurate financial reporting, job costing, and a timely month-end close. The company is a premier residential roofing company in Minnesota committed to exceptional craftsmanship and customer service.

Requirements

3+ years of Accounting experience.
Monthly Financial Close experience.
Job Costing experience.
Roofing, Construction, or other Home Services Trade experience.
Advanced QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
Experience processing vendor and commission-based independent contractor payments is helpful.
Experience supporting audits and implementing internal controls.

Maintain vendor and independent contractor records and supporting documentation.
