Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting (GL, AP, AR, payroll, and reporting)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience improving processes and strengthening internal controls
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office suite

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation (or in progress) is considered an asset
  • Experience in consulting, engineering, or project-based environments is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and completion of close activities
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations, analyses, and reasonability checks
  • Support internal audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor accounts receivable, aging, and support collection efforts to improve cash flow
  • Review and resolve outstanding balances, escalations, and foreign currency transactions
  • Maintain and support ERP system configurations; assist with system updates, testing, and documentation
  • Identify process improvements, contribute to special projects, and act as a point of contact for finance-related inquiries
