PaxeraHealth is seeking a detail-oriented and highly experienced Senior Accountant to join their Finance team in Newton, MA. This is an in-office position responsible for multiple functions within the department. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Hands-on QuickBooks Online expertise (required)
- Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business model
- Familiarity with GAAP and multi-currency consolidation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial systems
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting or leading financial audits
- Knowledge of SaaS metrics and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
- Prior experience working in a startup or scaling company
Responsibilities
- Leading month-end close activities: journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
- Consolidating multi-entity and multi-currency financials
- Managing revenue accounting including deferred revenue and subscription invoicing
- Preparing and reviewing GAAP-compliant financial statements
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensuring accurate balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to improve billing and revenue processes
- Assisting in audit preparation, tax filings, and special projects
- Mentoring junior team members as needed
