Senior Accountant

Resicap Payroll, LLCAtlanta, GA

About The Position

We are seeking a sharp, motivated accountant to take ownership of the books for a portfolio of operating entities within the Resicap family. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility from day one. You will serve as the lead accountant on a set of established real estate and construction businesses, while also contributing to new ventures. This role is ideal for someone early in their career but serious about it, who wants to do real work and is excited to grow alongside a company that is expanding into new markets and business lines. The work is deliberately broad, involving both AP/AR processing and more technical work like job costing and percent-complete calculations for construction entities. You will be challenged with new business lines and corporate initiatives, gaining direct exposure to the Corporate Controller, CFO, and other accounting and operations leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong foundational knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
  • Hands-on experience with or willingness to learn AR/AP processes end-to-end
  • Detail-oriented with a natural inclination to get to the bottom of a discrepancy
  • Comfortable handling both transactional and analytical work within the same role
  • Able to work effectively across teams — you’ll regularly interface with operations, not just accounting
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment where priorities can shift

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software is a plus
  • CPA candidate or CPA designation a plus, but not required
  • Real estate, construction, or property management industry experience is helpful but not expected

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of operating entities, including a drywall contracting company, dedicated rental community funds, and new business initiatives
  • Month-end close: journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Intercompany transaction tracking and reconciliation across related entities
  • Accounts payable, including vendor management, invoice review, coding, approval routing, and payment runs
  • Accounts receivable oversight, including invoicing, collections follow-up, cash application, and aging review
  • Coordination with the Corporate Controller on consolidated reporting, audit support, and lender/investor packages
  • Supporting the launch of new business ventures — helping stand up the accounting infrastructure from the ground floor
  • Process documentation and continuous improvement as our entity structure evolves
  • Assisting with other functions as needed, including debt facilities, AI initiatives, or other ad hoc projects

Benefits

  • Paid Holidays
  • Paid Time Off
  • 401k Matching
  • Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance
  • Wellness Initiatives
  • Short-Term Disability
  • Employee Assistance Program
