About The Position

Reporting to the Global Controller, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring financial accuracy across multiple business processes. This role is responsible for payroll accounting, cash management, fixed assets, sales tax filings, expense administration, and financial reporting support. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys balancing operational execution with process improvement. This role requires strong analytical skills, sound accounting judgment, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support business operations. This position is part of the Finance Team located in Fort Collins, CO and will be an onsite role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 4+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel capabilities
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and accountability
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Prepare payroll journal entries and perform account reconciliations
  • Manage banking and cash activities, including weekly accounts payable payment processing
  • Administer Positive Pay processes and complete bank reconciliations
  • Serve as backup support for company credit card and expense systems
  • Administer company travel policies and support related compliance requirements
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statements
  • Manage system access requirements, including onboarding new users and policy updates
  • Oversee company credit card issuance and administration
  • Manage fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and monthly reconciliations
  • Coordinate annual fixed asset physical inventory processes
  • Prepare property tax filings and accruals
  • Manage intangible assets
  • Support annual budgeting processes
  • Oversee right-of-use asset accounting
  • Manage sales tax tracking and filings through Avalara
  • Support business insurance administration
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Perform monthly expense analysis
  • Manage software and facilities allocations
  • Track and reconcile prepaid expenses and deposits
