This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Government Operations Cluster (GOC), Office of Finance and Resource Management (OFRM). The incumbent is responsible for various accounting functions associated with the day-to-day fiscal operations, serving as an expert advisor in planning, developing, and implementing new and existing accounting programs, systems, and processes. The incumbent also assists the accounting supervisor with guiding lower-level accountants to examine, analyze, and interpret financial records and reports. Duties include, but are not limited to: ensuring accurate recordation of agency Fixed/Capital assets in the system; creating financial reports; recommending management action when analysis indicates a trend that could lead to an underpayment or overpayment; developing internal controls; and resolving complex audit adjustment issues presented by the independent auditors and Office of Inspector General. Performs other related duties as assigned.
