About The Position

GiveWell is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage complex accounting responsibilities, with a primary focus on revenue reconciliation and grants recognition. This role involves deep expertise in complex reconciliations, acting as a strategic partner to the Controller for process improvements, and mentoring junior staff. The position is crucial for an organization that handles significant financial transactions with conscientiousness and transparency. The Senior Accountant will join a growing Finance team and report directly to the Controller. This hiring is driven by GiveWell's substantial growth, moving from directing $1.5 million in 2010 to over $400 million by 2025, necessitating a finance team that can match this scale and prepare for future expansion. The organization is transitioning from external contractors to a robust in-house finance team, with the Controller having joined earlier this year.
