Be part of a transformative effort to improve the health and well-being of rural communities across Indiana. Our client is leading Indiana’s 5-year Rural Health Transformation Program, including the Make Rural Indiana Healthy Again Regional Grants, a historic $600M investment to strengthen healthcare access, prevention, and system resilience across 64 fully rural and nine partially rural counties. This initiative brings together state leadership, healthcare providers, and community organizations to design and implement solutions that reflect local needs while advancing a shared, statewide vision for better health outcomes. This role ensures financial integrity and accountability across a landmark statewide investment in rural health. About the Role The RHTP Accountant plays a central role within the Finance department, supporting complex accounting operations tied to federal, state, and departmental funding. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal grant accounting standards while providing oversight, reconciliation, and reporting across multiple funding streams. Working closely with Program Directors and internal stakeholders, the Accountant translates complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making and program success. This role goes beyond transactional accounting, serving as a trusted advisor to program areas by helping them understand financial performance, grant requirements, and allowable expenditures. This is a highly visible role requiring strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently. The Accountant contributes directly to financial integrity, risk management, and the overall success of public health initiatives across Indiana.
