About The Position

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at their Saskatoon office, working a Monday – Friday schedule. Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada, with commercial production expected in mid-2026. This world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. Reporting to the Mine Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial records and statutory reporting requirements. This role ensures the integrity of financial data, compliance with accounting standards, and effective execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities while supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Professional designation: CPA (or CA, CGA, CMA).
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, SOX Controls, and general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Have excellent written and verbal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
  • Experience in the mining or industrial sector.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reports.
  • Prepare journal entries in line with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure consistency between sub-ledgers, supporting systems, and financial statements.
  • Compile monthly financial statements and financial reports in accordance with IFRS.
  • Perform account reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing working papers and responding to auditor requests efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflows, and controls.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide meaningful financial insights.
  • Prepare schedules and filings for statutory compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as required.
