This is a key role responsible for supporting core financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll, and grant reporting, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Requirements

Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field.
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP system.
Experience with Rippling or equivalent payroll systems.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end procedures.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with government grant reporting and claims.
Proven ability to continually improve and automate relevant reporting, leveraging systems capabilities.
Experience in an emerging growth environment.

Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and confidentially.
Record and process weekly accounts payable, employee expense reimbursements and credit card payments.
Prepare grant claims and maintain supporting documentation.
Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
Maintain prepaid expense and capital asset schedules and related monthly entries.
Prepare and file quarterly GST/HST, EHT, and WSIB returns.
Support annual audits and prepare required documentation.
Complete annual reconciliations for EHT, RRSP contributions, and benefit premiums.
Support internal financial reporting.
Perform other accounting duties as required.
