About The Position

As Astranis’s Senior Accountant, you will be a core member of our accounting team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and scalability of our financial operations. As a key contributor to general ledger (GL) operations, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, developing monthly expense accruals in collaboration with business partners, reviewing contracts, reconciling accounts, and ensuring transactions are accurately reported in our financial systems. Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and experience applying it in practice.
  • Track record of executing month-end close and delivering accurate financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex analyses).
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification or CPA-track.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Hands-on Netsuite experience.
  • Experience in a high-growth, venture-backed company.
  • Experience with consolidations, multiple entity structures, complex business models, preparing accruals, and/or managing prepaids and fixed asset subledgers.

Responsibilities

  • Own core accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial results in compliance with GAAP.
  • Partner with FP&A, operations, and leadership to provide clear, timely financial reporting.
  • Present monthly and quarterly results to the Finance leadership team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close and reporting cycles.
  • Assist in preparing for audits and work directly with auditors.
  • Contribute to system enhancements, internal controls, and automation initiatives.
