Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
  • 3+ years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Previous experience working within an accounting software system.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Ability to operate within corporate policies and established business practices.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and financial reports.
  • Ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist with daily cash reconciliation activities and balance sheet maintenance.
  • Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory and fixed asset records.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
  • Support cross-functional accounting activities as needed.
  • Assist with preparation for the annual external audit.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions and reporting.
  • Help ensure accounting procedures comply with internal controls and reporting requirements.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the Great Plains accounting system.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining accounting process documentation.
  • Cross-train on key accounting functions and provide backup support for other team members.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardization within accounting processes.
