Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare or home health industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, specifically NetSuite; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow reports in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger account balances and maintain fixed asset schedules.
  • Manage and execute the financial close process within strict deadlines.
  • Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax laws; assist in developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors and assist with corporate tax filings.
  • Perform budget-actual variance analysis and collaborate with management on financial planning.
