About The Position

Our client is a growing industrial-based company seeking a Senior Accountant with strong accounting fundamentals and hands-on cost accounting experience. This position will play an important role in supporting the company’s financial reporting, cost analysis, and overall accounting operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2+ years within an energy, natural resources, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with both accounting and operational teams.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with inventory, standard costing, cost analysis, and variance analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Perform cost accounting functions, including analysis of product costs, inventory, variances, and manufacturing expenses.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improved profitability and efficiency.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and maintain accurate financial records.
• Partner with operations and other departments to improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel skills to analyze data and improve financial processes.
