About The Position

As a Senior Accountant at Mytra, you will join our Finance team during a period of growth and transformation. Our team is currently focused on building scalable financial operations to support rapid company expansion, and we need a proactive, detail-oriented professional to help us establish reliable accounting processes, ensure payroll accuracy, and strengthen our financial foundation as we scale.

Requirements

  • Proven and extensive experience with full-cycle payroll processing, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting in a fast-paced or startup environment
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite, Rippling, and Ramp or similar ERP, payroll, and expense management platforms
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or Hardware company with exposure to inventory accounting, 3-Way match, or cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Demonstrate a collaborative, team-first mindset with the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and surface issues before they become problems
  • Self-motivated and take ownership of their work, able to manage competing priorities with minimal oversight during a period of organizational change
  • Communicate clearly and proactively across teams, translating financial information into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification or active pursuit, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth in accounting
  • Experience helping build or formalize accounting processes from the ground up in an early-stage or high-growth company
  • Familiarity with California wage & hour regulations and payroll compliance requirements
  • Experience working with Rippling, ADP or similar HRIS system

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end payroll processing using Rippling, ensuring accurate and timely disbursements for all employees across pay cycles
  • Manage accounts payable operations: reviewing, coding, and processing invoices while maintaining vendor relationships and payment schedules
  • Support month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance in NetSuite
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, Operations, and other functional department leads to implement and improve accounting processes as the company grows
  • Monitor and reconcile company spend using Ramp, flagging discrepancies and ensuring expenses are properly categorized and approved
