Requirements

  • BS/BA in Accounting required
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in general accounting
  • Knowledge of ERP and other accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
  • High level of integrity, positive can-do attitude, and strong work ethic.
  • Solid understanding of the month-end close process and full-cycle accounting.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel applications (pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, sumifs).
  • Ability to multitask and manipulate large volumes of data with accuracy.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or pursuing CPA preferred
  • public accounting experience a plus
  • Healthcare company experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, including, prepaid amortization, fixed asset entries, and other assigned accounts.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts, with timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Ensure integrity of data entered into ERP systems and databases; support process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, HIPAA requirements, and applicable federal, state, local, and Puerto Rico regulations.
  • Prepare documentation and schedules for external auditors; respond to audit inquiries under the direction of the Accounting Manager.
  • Demonstrate initiative in understanding process flows, internal controls, and the underlying business dynamics driving financial results.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial records and abide by all applicable local, state, federal, and Puerto Rico rules and regulations.
  • Support strategic projects, system implementations, and other finance initiatives as assigned.
