About The Position

Nienhuis Financial Group is a rapidly growing accounting firm that provides fractional and managerial accounting services to small-business clients with revenues of $1 million to $75 million, including manufacturing, service, and nonprofit organizations. The Senior Accountant will play a key role with clients by overseeing accounting operations and ensuring financial compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in managerial accounting and can anticipate needs, solve problems, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position with potential day travel to client locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with forecasting and budgeting.
• Experience developing finance procedures.
• Experience overseeing and reviewing month-end and year-end close.
• Experience managing business accounting records accurately and on time.
• Exceptional project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proven communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to navigate numerous software programs and systems with minimal instructions.
• A strong foundation in accounting.
• Drive to achieve goals for clients, NFG, and personal fulfillment.
