About The Position

As GrabAGun continues to scale, the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting become critical to decision-making and compliance. The Senior Accountant will serve as a key contributor to the accounting function, ensuring that financial data is reliable, reconciled, and audit-ready. This role strengthens the foundation of our financial operations by bringing discipline to the close process, supporting compliance with GAAP and internal controls, and enabling leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or public company exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting practices.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including working with large data sets.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to inventory accounting and high-volume transaction environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with SEC reporting processes is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite preferred.
  • CPA certification (preferred, not required).
  • Experience in eCommerce or inventory-driven businesses.
  • Exposure to sales tax, payment processors, or revenue-related accounting flows.
  • Experience working in a SOX-compliant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and general ledger adjustments.
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial results.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and ensuring all accounts are properly supported.
  • Analyze financial variances and provide clear, actionable explanations to management.
  • Partner with AP, AR, Payroll, and Operations teams to ensure accurate transaction coding and reporting.
  • Support inventory accounting processes, including reconciliations, valuation, and cut-off procedures.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and prepare supporting workpapers for financial reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K filings.
  • Support external audits by delivering audit-ready documentation and responding to auditor requests.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and support SOX compliance initiatives where applicable.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and close timelines.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
