About The Position

The Senior Accountant will maintain the general ledger and ensure financial records are accurate and complete. The role prepares financial analyses, reporting packages, and ad hoc reports to support business and operational decisions. It also supports external and regulatory audits and compliance reviews by coordinating requests and providing documentation.

The accountant monitors accounting, regulatory, and reporting requirements and communicates their impact to stakeholders. The role collaborates with internal departments to research accounting issues, improve processes, and strengthen internal controls; ensures compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations; and supports special projects and other assigned accounting and finance responsibilities. This is a hybrid contract position based in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of operational accounting experience.
• At least 1 year of experience at a senior level.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, month-end closing, and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
