About The Position

The Senior Accountant is responsible for general accounting activities, costing, forecasting, budgeting and support functions for the Thunder Jet plant in Clarkston, WA. The position will bring analytics to operations, sales, marketing, strategy, supply chain, and brand leaders to understand and improve the processes, analytics and overall business results. Requirements

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of five years’ work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial information as appropriate
  • Good safety awareness, attitude, and attendance.
  • Self-starter and a team player.
  • Flexibility and multitasking are required, while also being highly detail orientated.
  • Recognize and be responsive to the needs at all levels of the organization, functional groups, external vendors and dealer network.
  • Professional proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft 365.
  • Technologically proficient with the ability to implement new processes and systems that increase efficiency.
  • This is a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Good business acumen

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of quality improvement theories like 5S, Kaizen and LSS a plus.
  • Manufacturing work experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Finance point person for the Thunder Jet brand including preparation of pricing, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Acts as finance business partner for the Thunder Jet brand including recommendations and guidance.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, and assist with month end close activities and reporting.
  • Supervise invoicing process.
  • Manage costing system including material cost and manufacturing overhead analysis.
  • Assists in the development and preparation of accounting statements, schedules, analysis and reports to reflect the financial condition of the facility.
  • Fixed Assets administration.
  • Oversee import and export activities.
  • State Tax return preparation and oversight.
  • Participate as a financial representative on continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain SOX documentation and assist with external and internal audits.
  • Assist in a variety of shared service functional areas that may include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and lead special projects as needed.
