As a Senior Accountant at Airgas, you will be a cornerstone of our Controller organization, driving business success through expert financial oversight and strategic reporting. This is a high-impact role where your expertise in general accounting, analytical research, and complex reconciliations will directly influence our operational excellence. In particular, you will:

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Minimum of three years financial accounting and/or financial reporting required.
Advanced computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Excel).

Public accounting experience and exposure to medium-to-large companies.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of general accounting matters and IFRS/GAAP.

Responsibilities

Lead complex general ledger account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting, including payroll and A/R.
Lead accounting projects and provide guidance to staff accountants.
Drive month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and financial statement review.
Collaborate with Central Division regions to resolve financial inquiries and document issues.
Prepare detailed internal reports for Division and Corporate management.
Fulfill audit requests and review staff accountant work for completeness.
Maintain internal accounting controls and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned.
