As a Senior Accountant at Airgas, you will be a cornerstone of our Controller organization, driving business success through expert financial oversight and strategic reporting. This is a high-impact role where your expertise in general accounting, analytical research, and complex reconciliations will directly influence our operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of three years financial accounting and/or financial reporting required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex general ledger account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting, including payroll and A/R.
  • Lead accounting projects and provide guidance to staff accountants.
  • Drive month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and financial statement review.
  • Collaborate with Central Division regions to resolve financial inquiries and document issues.
  • Prepare detailed internal reports for Division and Corporate management.
  • Fulfill audit requests and review staff accountant work for completeness.
  • Maintain internal accounting controls and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned.
