Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting
5+ years of experience in small business accounting, client accounting services, or similar
Strong understanding of financial statements and how they connect to business performance
Experience working directly with clients and explaining financials
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Comfort with technology and curiosity to learn new tools
Strong communication skills. You can make complex things feel simple

Responsibilities

Act as the primary accounting advisor for a portfolio of small business clients (<$7M revenue)
Lead monthly and quarterly conversations that turn financials into clear insights and action
Identify opportunities, risks, and blind spots, and guide clients toward better decisions
Translate financial data into simple, practical recommendations owners can actually use
Partner with clients on topics like cash flow, profitability, and operational efficiency
Collaborate with your team to ensure financials are accurate, then spend your time using them, not just reviewing them
