About The Position

The American Red Cross is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Account Manager for the Idaho, Montana, and Yakima, WA area. This role is responsible for managing key clinical and executive-level relationships across hospitals that utilize Red Cross blood products and services. The focus is on growth and retention, educating stakeholders on offerings, negotiating contracts, and expanding the Red Cross's footprint into new hospital systems. This is a high-impact role ideal for professionals with a strong background in healthcare sales, particularly those with experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or hospital systems, who are passionate about making a difference in patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a background in science or healthcare is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare sales, clinical services, or a related field.
  • Experience selling to hospitals, pharma, or medical device companies is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both clinical and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to absorb and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Collaborative, analytical, and results-driven mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms, with demonstrated experience managing data, reporting, and insights.
  • Must have strong Excel skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Some overnight travel (up to 20%) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of hospital accounts, generating approximately $30M in revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical leaders and C-suite executives.
  • Educate clients on Red Cross products, services, and value propositions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within and beyond the current customer base.
  • Lead contract negotiations and renewals to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance and support to volunteers as needed in support of hospital engagement.
  • Travel to assigned hospitals and prospects at least 3 days per week.
